Answers to Your Questions

At what age does WCOF Preschool accept students?

We serve children from 12 months to 5 years of age

What are your classroom hours and schedules?

Normal class time for toddlers and two year olds is 9:30-12:00, and 9:30-1:30 for three year olds and four year olds.  For the toddlers, parents may choose the days for their child to attend. For the twos and threes, we offer a MWF class, a TTH class or M-F class.  For the fours, we offer a MWF class or M-F class.

How many children are in each class?

We keep all our class sizes small so that the children can receive as much individual attention as possible.

Toddlers: 5 per class with 2 teachers

Twos:  10 children per class with 2 teachers

Threes:  12 per class with 2 teachers

Fours:  12 per class with 2 teachers

Is Extended care available?

Yes, extended care is available for all ages.

The Extended Care Hours are 7:45 am to 4 pm.

Space is limited so parents must sign up in advance.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

We only require children entering the three year old and four year old classes to be potty trained.

Are snacks and lunch provided?

Yes, WCOF Preschool does provide snacks for the students.  WCOF Preschool does not provide lunch for the students. Parents must pack a cold lunch for their child.  The teachers do not have access to a microwave to heat up lunches. WCOF Preschool is a peanut free school so everything in the child’s lunch must adhere to this guideline.

Does the preschool provide field trips?

WCOF Preschool provides in-house field trips (programs presented at the school) which are scheduled throughout the school year.  They include a wide variety of themes. Common programs include the Bethlehem fire department, Bethlehem police horses, storytellers, community helpers, musicians, Irish dancers, and even the tooth fairy!

Will my child be prepared for kindergarten after attending WCOF Preschool?

Graduates of WCOF Preschool move on to a variety of public and private schools in the Bethlehem and surrounding areas. We have received very positive feedback from both parents and kindergarten teachers that WCOF Preschool graduates excel in kindergarten and are at a significant advantage academically, socially and developmentally.
